Abstract:
A new ketooxime ligand, 2-(biphenyl-4-yl)-N'-hydroxy-2-oxo-N-(pyridine-2-yl)acetimidamide (HL), and its mononuclear Cu(II) complex ([CuL2(H2O)2]) with a metal:ligand ratio of 1:2 were synthesized. The structures of these compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, ICP-OES, 1H- and 13C-NMR, FT-IR spectra, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity measurements.
