Abstract: Fluoride contamination in drinking water due to natural and anthropogenic activities has been recognized as one of the major problems worldwide imposing a serious threat to human health. The review of different analytical techniques and methodologies used in the analysis of fluoride in water is presented in this paper. Chromatographic, spectroscopic and electrochemical innovations appearing in the recent literature has been explored in this review. Among those, spectrophotometric techniques are widely used. This paper gives overall information about different techniques for fluoride determination in water
