The Use of Electro catalysis as a Tool for Organic Synthesis
Dr. Anil Kumar Pandey
Abstract:
Recently, electrochemistry has drawn more attention as a flexible method for completing difficult transformations at the cutting edge of synthetic organic chemistry. Several new electrochemical techniques for the creation of useful chemical motifs have been developed as a result of electrochemistry's exceptional capacity to produce extremely reactive radical & radical ion intermediates in a regulated manner under benign conditions. To further improve control over the selective production and downstream sensitivity of these reactive intermediates, recent innovations in electro synthesis have highlighted a greater usage of redox-active electro catalysts. Moreover, electrocatalytic mediators allow for the subversion of the thermodynamic and kinetic barriers encountered in conventional organic synthesis, allowing for the progression of synthetic transformations in a mechanistically distinct manner from simply chemical techniques. The main breakthroughs in synthetic electrocatalysis over the last ten years are highlighted in this overview, with an emphasis on the processes and fundamentals of catalyst design that underlie these developments. The nature of the electrocatalyst and the categorization of the synthetic transformation are used to categorize a wide range of both reductive and oxidative electrocatalytic techniques.

Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of Schiff Bases and Evaluation of Their Antibacterial Activities
Manoj Kumar Batra
Abstract:
a new Schiff bases was synthesized using microwave-assisted synthesis and conventional condensation with aromatic aldehydes. Microwave-assisted organic synthesis (MAOS) is the study of chemical reactions under the effect of microwave radiation. Microwaves radiation have high energy electric fields and will generally heat any substance containing mobile electric charges, such as polar molecules in a solvent or conducting ions in a solid. In resent year the synthesis of Schiff bases under influence of microwave irradiation was found much easier and faster than conventional heating. The synthesis in Microwave irradiation in solvent free or lower solvent conditions are good method for reduce the pollution, lowering the cost and increase the product together with simplicity in processing and handling.

MANISHA SAXENA
Abstract:
The conductometric measurements have been used to study the premicellar association, formation of micelles, molar conductance at infinite dilution, degree of ionization and ionization constant of lanthanide soaps the results show that the critical micellar concentration(CMC) decreases with decrease in ionic radii of trivalent metal ions of soap molecules in mixture of 50% methanol and50% benzene mixed solvent.
