Abstract:
The increasing demand for food production and the overuse of chemical fertilizers have led to soil degradation and environmental concerns. Biofertilizers offer an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative by enhancing soil fertility through natural biological processes. These fertilizers contain beneficial microorganisms that promote plant growth by increasing nutrient availability, improving soil structure, and maintaining ecological balance. This paper discusses the types, mechanisms, advantages, and challenges associated with biofertilizers and highlights their importance in sustainable agriculture.
