Reetu RaniAbstract: The Stand-Up India Scheme, launched in 2016, aims to foster entrepreneurship among Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and women by facilitating bank loans between ₹10 lakh and ₹1 crore. This paper evaluates the scheme’s effectiveness in achieving inclusive growth by analyzing loan disbursement data, regional participation, and success stories from 2016 to 2025. It identifies key challenges such as documentation hurdles, low awareness, and repayment delays. The study concludes with policy recommendations to enhance outreach and streamline processes for first-generation entrepreneurs. |
