Abstract: Recognizing the significance of higher education in fostering both individual and societal well-being, as well as contributing to the economic development of India, the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has proposed a structural transformation of the current system. India's higher education system ranks as the third largest globally in terms of student enrollment, following China and the United States, and is the largest worldwide in terms of the number of educational institutions. The advantageous demographic characteristics of India can only be effectively harnessed through a modern and sophisticated higher education system. In light of this, the NEP 2020 has identified the primary challenges currently confronting India's higher education system. The Policy has proposed various reform measures to address these challenges. Against this backdrop, this study aims to examine the major difficulties within India's higher educational ecosystem in the context of NEP 2020 and to identify measures to resolve the issues faced by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). The study relies on secondary data collected from various reliable sources. The NEP 2020 recognizes the need for a comprehensive overhaul of the existing higher education framework to align with global standards and meet the evolving demands of the 21st century. By addressing key challenges such as fragmentation, lack of multidisciplinary approaches, and limited research focus, the policy aims to create a more robust and inclusive educational ecosystem. Implementation of these reforms is expected to enhance the quality of education, improve employability, and position India as a global knowledge superpower in the coming decades

Abstract: This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of global research on skill gaps among youth spanning 2002 to 2025. Drawing on 408 publications from the Scopus database, the analysis highlights research trends, influential authors, sources, and citation patterns in the field. Findings reveal a strong focus on employability, digital literacy, and competency development, with notable disparities in contributions between developed and developing nations. Thematic mapping identifies key areas of emphasis, including youth employability, human capital, and digital skill integration. The study underscores the growing importance of aligning education and training systems with labor market needs. Insights gained serve as a roadmap for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to design targeted interventions that foster workforce readiness, equity, and sustainable economic growth.\r\n

Abstract: In Tripura, there are a number of problems for teaching English language and it is due to linguistic and socioeconomic diversity, and a variety of student learning needs. The ESL learners of the tribal and rural areas and the learners of a multi-lingual background face certain challenges to learn English due to lack of exposure, resources, lack of exposure, and a traditional examination-oriented mode of learning. This paper outlines effective teaching methodologies for teaching English to students with varied learning needs in Tripura with special emphasis on inclusive pedagogy, integration of ICT-based teaching tools, differentiation and utilisation of culture sensitive content. The paper focuses on effective teacher training, curriculum reform and supportive education policies that could be employed to enhance English proficiency in the state. Research has demonstrated that when context sensitive and learner centred methodologies are implemented, academic performance is improved, students are ready for success in higher education and the global world of work. The paper concludes that English education in Tripura needs to be made more equitable and effective through inclusive, flexible and technology assisted measures.
