ਡਾ.ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰAbstract: ਸੰਤੋਖ ਸਿੰਘ ਧੀਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ‘ਸਿੱਟਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ’ ਕਹਾਣੀ-ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਸੰਨ 1950 ਅਤੇ ‘ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੰਧ’ ਕਹਾਣੀ-ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਸੰਨ 1958 ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ। ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵੰਡ ਨਾਲ, ਸਰਮਾਏਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਰੋਧਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹਨ। ਦੇਸ਼ ਵੰਡ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਦੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਲੀ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਦੋ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਭਾਜਿਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਮਾਰਕਸਵਾਦੀ ਵਿਚਰਾਧਾਰਾ ਅਧੀਨ ਧੀਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਸਟ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ, ਕਿਸਾਨ ਸਭਾਵਾਂ, ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਸਮਾਜ ਦਾ ਅੰਗ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੇ ਬਦਲਾਵ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਰੋਲ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭਾਸ਼ਾ, ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਭਾਵਾਂ, ਉਮੰਗਾਂ, ਇਛਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਮੁਖੀ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਹੋਂਦ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਪਾਸ ਸੰਚਾਰ ਲਈ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਧੀਰ ਦੇ ਉਪਰੋਕਤ ਦੋ ਕਹਾਣੀ-ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹਿਆਂ ‘ਸਿੱਟਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੰਧ’ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਅਪਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਦਾ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਵਿਸ਼ਲੇਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। |
