  • ISOLATION AND GROWTH PATTERN STUDY OF PROSPECTIVE PROBIOTIC SPECIES OF PEDIOCOCCUS FROM FERMENTED FOODS

R.Trivedi1; Jay Bergi2*; Ratna Trivedi3

Abstract:
Members of Genus Pediococcus belong to Family Lactobacillaceae and are homolactic fermenters. These were isolated from various fermented foods of South Gujarat like Locha batter, Khaman batter and Jalebi batter. All isolates were subjected to morphological assay by Gram staining. Isolates were screened for acid production from sugar by zone of solubilization around colonies on Glucose Yeast Pepton agar with CaCO3 after 24-48 hour of incubation. Selected isolates were subjected to various biochemical tests as per Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology. Isolates were tested for their capacity of producing extracellular hydrolytic enzymes like gelatinase, lipase, amylase and casienase. They were also studied for their antibiotic susceptibility profile using modified Kirby-Bauer’s disc diffusion assay. Growth kinetics of selected isolates was studied in batch culture. Many isolates were identified as members of Genus Pediococcus by biochemical tests. Most isolates were not able to produce extracellular hydrolytic enzymes. Exponential phase of around 12 hours was reported on GYP medium.

  • S – CONVEX SET IN A TOPOLOGICAL VECTOR SPACE

*Neelam Dubey1, Research Scholar, V.K.S. University, Ara, Bihar. Dr. Omprakash Dubey2, Assistant Professor,J.J. College, Ara,Bihar.

Abstract:
In this present article, we explore S-Convex Sets in topological vector spaces, investigating key concepts like closed sets, open sets, set interiors, and the closure property of S-Convex Sets. It establishes that the closure of an S-Convex Set in a topological vector space remains S-Convex, which differs in technique from metric spaces. Neighborhood systems are employed. It presents theorems involving closed sets, set closures under specific conditions, and the interior of sets in topological vector spaces. It demonstrates that the interior of an S-Convex Set in such a space also preserves the S-Convex property. Furthermore, the chapter derives a result related to S-Convex Sets and S-Convex hulls. \r\n

  • Comparative Study Of Benthic Macro invertebrates Between Two Lake Janala And Mul Lake, Dist : Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India

Kiran R. Borkar

Abstract:
The quality of water is described by its physical, chemical and biological characteristics. As such an attempt is made to portray the water quality and biological characteristics of the two Lakes with different trophic status at Mul lake and Janala lake, to facilitate the possible conservation and management measures. Benthic macro invertebrates are recognized as very important group of water quality surveillance as these organisms which move from the site of pollution and show considerable sensitivity of pollution. (Mason,1983). In lakes, benthic macro invertebrates are taken into consideration to get an idea of water quality.

  • ADVANCED X-RAY IMAGING TECHNIQUES FOR MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS AND MATERIALS

Dr. P. Laveena Manjulatha

Abstract:
Imaging with X-rays has come a long way since it was first developed in the late 1800s. These days, radiologists use digital radiography, which processes high-resolution images utilizing complex computation. The sensitivity and selectivity of the technology have recently been improved, which enables it to generate nearly faultless photos, even when those images include moving portions of the human body. Recent developments in imaging technology suggest that in the not-too-distant future, smaller and more flexible imaging equipment will be utilized to precisely image problems with microtissue that were previously undetectable. Methods of medical imaging are utilized to detect abnormalities, diagnose and treat ailments, and investigate hidden internal systems that reside beneath the skin and bones
